About Me
Hello! I'm Bob.
I am a third-year honours computer science student at the University of British Columbia and an aspiring software engineer. I am passionate about programming and am continually striving to push my abilities to the next level, understand new technologies, and learn industry practices.
I currently have several noteworthy technical projects. I and a team of three others developed an android health app, Hercules. The app incentivizes users to build healthy habits by gamifying healthy living through a quest system. I implemented the backend systems which managed our user experience, in-game currency, item-inventory, and item-shop systems. I developed a simple algorithm to handle the quest and questline distribution system, where users would be rewarded based on consistent continual progress. Hercules is currently available as a proof of concept on my GitHub page. I also have experience working with the web development paradigms of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React. I used these technologies to build my portfolio site and a homework managing Chrome Extension, which generates daily to-do lists that would prioritize assignments based on deadlines and weight. Currently, I am working on 'Cornucopia,' an app that scans a user's grocery recipe to help manage their pantry and minimize food waste.
I am currently interested in internship opportunities. Message me for all inquiries and/or if you're interested in working together on a project!
